Inauthentic and harmful media representation is a consistent
barrier to belonging and inclusion in Aotearoa, New Zealand.

Tāhono Media is a cross-sectoral group formed in 2022 to address these issues. We strive for a media landscape that genuinely represents diverse communities, challenges harmful stereotypes, provides equitable access and platforms for all, and fosters participation and respect across society.
